Roderick Strong vs. Keith Lee (WWE NXT 1/22/20)

This was a pretty good TV main event. Douche heel Roderick Strong is always a good time and Keith Lee still has a lot of good will from the fans as the hot babyface on NXT. Lee has a strong presence and Roddy and all the UE guys bump like idiots for him which is always satisfying. Roddy definitely grounds things here and lends it some structure though by going after Lee’s injured ankle. Lee doesn’t do any extended selling which I would have liked but I get that he’s being booked to be a big deal. I really enjoyed how powerful Lee was even while being worked over too. That same strength also translates into a shorter finishing stretch and Lee gets put over pretty strong. Fun, efficient stuff.
