Deeply stupid match. So stupid on both the macro level (shouldn’t happen in the middle of a pandemic) and the micro (just look at it). But it also rules, unfortunately.
Just the right blend of serious brawling action with the ridiculous overblown spots of an empty arena street fight. You’ve got Guevara bumping like a maniac, including leaping straight into the path of an oncoming cart. You’ve got Matt Hardy normal-speed-changing through various outfits but still getting a few good bumps in like the ladder spot and the Shield bomb through the table. Then you’ve got Omega filling in all the gaps by keeping the pace up and tossing Sammy Guevera into metal doors.
It’s exactly what it says on the tin. A dumb street fight that goes throughout the arena with everyone setting up and going into big action setpieces. And it’s effective television for that. Just a lot of stuff happening on your screen with only the thinnest semblance of cohesion or sense but that’s not really what anyone was looking for from this match anyway. I might have preferred a little blood spilled myself but Omega doing a moonsault off a cherry picker will do.
Shouldn’t happen, everyone go home, fun match.
