A very straightforward match here. The appeal is instant, stiff strikes, great suplexes, and some arm work thrown in. I am unfamiliar with both men’s work as a whole but they both put in a really great showing. From the start, they lay in their strikes to really set things up for a real heavy hitting battle down the stretch. To spice things up, Nomura throws in some arm work to wear down the champion some more. It pays off nicely especially when a strike battle between the two ends not with either man crumbling but rather Nomura going for Daichi’s bad arm instead. Daichi does a good job selling throughout the match too even as they start dropping bombs on each other. The reverse triangle choke finish felt a bit off, didn’t quite gel with the rest of the match they worked but smarter critics than I have pointed out that it’s a legacy move from Daichi’s father. Either way, the meat of the match is incredibly strong. It doesn’t waste your time and keeps you invested the whole way through, give it a watch.
