Scorpio Sky & Frankie Kazarian vs. Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara (AEW Dynamite 11/13/19)

A decent enough tag main event but pretty bland overall. The structure of the match relies on the viewer believing in Scorpio Sky as this underdog veteran trying to take it to the cocky champion but the facts are that SCU never really got that over with the AEW audience the way the company wanted. Both Sky and Kazarian are nothing special in this match, mostly just going through the motions without much really standing out. Sammy’s the easy standout in this match. He bumps for the babyfaces and sells his ass off for them but they’re not giving him too much to chew on here. Even Jericho gets a few more highlights by at least bringing in some personality and trying to get some heat on Sky to set up their title match in two weeks time. His brief exchange with Sky at the finish acts as a teaser for their singles match and that teaser is not promising in the slightest. Outside of the Codebreaker nearfall, it was lethargic, soft offense from both guys. Not looking forward to the title match at all.
